Soaking Forecast To Continue

RAINFALL in excess of 50 millimetres soaked parts of the Hunter yesterday, and wet conditions are predicted to continue.

Heavy rain would set in tonight and continue into Saturday morning, Weatherzone meteorologist Matt Pearce said.

"Areas closer to the coast can expect anywhere up to 60 to 70 millimetres. This is quite unseasonal. We only usually see this kind of weather around May and June."

Strong winds were also forecast.
